Pot broke the first time we used it. This thing is NOT FOR PREPPING fondue, it's for serving only. They actually stated that somewhat clearly in instruction, however, they didn't emphasize the importance of making sure that it SHOULD BE HEATED UP GRADUALLY even before pouring hot cheese into it. I believe that submerging the pot in hot (not boiling) water for several minutes before each use should do the job.The candle hold the temperature nicely, preferably indoor, doesn’t work well in a cold temperature.These little pots are great! Bought three for daughter’s birthday party. Read other reviews about the cracking...not a problem if you read the enclosed book & soak then in water prior to use as directed.After using for about an hour, bottom did slightly burn, but after using I soaked them in hot soapy water & they rinsed clean.Will definitely use these again for entertaining.Worked great the first time. Used it the second time and the thing cracked. Very disappointed in the craftsmanship and quality of the product. Would not recommend to anyone.I like itwe loved this compact fondue setPerfect for a fancy snack with my gf. It is on the small side, but works perfectly for 2. The candle keeps it warm, and actually burnt some fondue on the bottom the first time using it, so stirring the fondue is recommended.I loved this! I got it for my partner as a Valentine's day present and it's perfect for having a chocolate fondue dessert or a small cheese appetizer. I wanted something small but functional and I found it!The ceramic pot cracked the first time it was used so it isn't suitable for purpose. We might have just been unlucky but a couple of other reviews said the same thing.If you still want to risk it, it's a nice looking item but a bit smaller than expected. If you had fondue as your main meal for 2 people then you want to refill this pot 2-3 timesI followed the instructions and made some chocolate fondue and dipped fruits in it. It was really good, and ready quite quickly. I just put some chocolate chips in there and a bit of milk to just cover the chocolate and it was perfect.The set is easy to wash, and looks nice, I'm very happy with it.The size is perfect for three people (two adults and a child). It looks very nice on the table and it is very functional. Easy to use, easy to clean and keeps the cheese temperature for long enough.Cracked during first use even thought it was used as per user manual. Apparently a common issue, a shame since otherwise it would be such a nice product.Great for little chocolate or cheese fondue. I probably would have ordered a slighter bigger one if I’d realised how small it was but definitely great little product on its little wooden base
